Is this part of a series?  Yes, this is book two of the Mitchum series.

Published: February 7th, 2017

Mitchum is back, and supporting his family again.  Natty is being accused of murdering another drug dealer in the area.  While the two don’t often see eye to eye, Mitchum knows that Natty’s no killer.  The evidence is stacked against him, though; and it doesn’t help that he and the widow are in love.  It’s up to Mitchum to figure out who killed Paul and rescue his brother.  When nothing is as it seems, who do you trust to show you the way?

I had a lot more fun with this story.  I like Mitchum, and the new character that they introduced.  Natty. love him or hate him, is a very interesting character too.  I can see myself getting very interested in these books and, indeed, cannot wait for the next installment.  The pros with the series the way it is, is that they are fast, interesting reads that really grab the attention.  The con, though is that because of the length of the book character development happens over books instead of over chapters.  Still, I like where this is going.  Four Stars

On the adult content scale, there is language and violence as well as talk of substance abuse.  I give it a five.  General.svg

The book is out.  Have you read it?
