Hi guys! I don’t do this often enough, I feel, but this weeks prompt intrigued me. Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl and this week we are talking about the newest additions to out TBR. Now, you guys know I have a problem with buying books. I have LITERALLY hundreds to read and I will still grab whichever ones grab my eye and put it at the back of the queue. Still, it could be worse….
Without further ado, I give you my most recent purchases.
I am currently reading 96 Words For Love, and really enjoying it. Of course when I found out that Markus Zusak wrote another book I had to have it (seriously, who doesn’t love The Book Thief?). Fannie Flagg and Sofie Ryan are favorites of mine, and I feel like I owe it to myself to finish this adventure with Patterson’s Harriet Blue. A Ladder To The Sky just sounded fantastic, and both the Alicia Keys and Fatimah Asgar books spoke to me when I saw them at Target.
We Are Displaced is one that I bought simply because I feel like it’s going to be infinitely important. In a time where tempers are running high where immigration is concerned we have a duty to remember that those seeking to immigrate are people. Sometimes children. That there isn’t just some faceless evil wanting in…. does that make sense? It’s the same feelings that made me buy Helen Thorpe’s The Newcomers.
So, that’s my list. Are any on your TBR?
